***THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED AND THE WINNER IS BOO-BOO W.! CONGRATS!
As a way of thanking you guys and to commemorate this holiday season, I’m doing a giveaway!
I modelled this giveaway after the Sephora Favorites Lash Stash, which includes a ton of mascaras for people who want to try them all, but who don’t want to go out and purchase a full size version of each one.
I figured, it’s not like I’m ever going to use these products, and since no one close to me really wears makeup, why not give them away as a big collection?
And in a way, this big set giveaway is kind of my way to encourage people to be more minimalistic; to try a bunch of products and then to only use the best ones! No hoarding allowed. Lol!
***Note that none of the mascaras have not been used and the eyelash curler has been completely sanitized because it’s been sitting in my desk collecting dust for some time now.
Like the two previous giveaways, because WordPress.com does not allow for Javascript code, I have to host the giveaway on my Facebook page. But that’s all good! Click here to go the contest page. All rules, requirements, and details will be displayed on the contest page.

The most surprising thing I have learnt this year is how little makeup I really need! That’s not to say I won’t enjoy the mascara giveaway. I never miss reading your blog on Futurederm and Temptalia.
Posted by bengaltigre | December 20, 2012, 5:46 pmWow that is surprising! Thanks for your continued support. 🙂
Posted by John | December 21, 2012, 10:54 amThanks for hosting a giveaway, John. I am a little embarrassed to say though…that I don’t have a Facebook account. Darn it! I’m super jealous to those that were able to enter. Any other way to participate at all? TIA..
Posted by Sarah | December 17, 2012, 11:27 pmNo problem! Thanks for taking the time to enter. Well, according to the giveaway widget, you can follow me on twitter, tweet about the giveaway, comment on this post about something surprising you’ve learned this year, or tell me what you’re thankful for on the Thanksgiving post. 🙂

Posted by John | December 15, 2012, 10:29 pmThe most surprising thing I learn is that I can sleep early if I reduce my time in front of the computer
Posted by Leong Quinie | December 10, 2012, 3:20 amLol! Lucky you. I tend to always be on the computer.
Posted by John | December 10, 2012, 5:41 pmThe most surprising thing I’ve learned this year? Hmm… that I *can* stop biting my nails!

Posted by John | November 25, 2012, 9:01 pmThe most surprising thing I’ve ever learned….is that the high-end book chain near my older sister’s school DOESN’T allow ordering of books…May sound stupid, but if you read a lot, it’s such a tragedy.
Posted by Belle | November 23, 2012, 4:17 am… What’s the point of a bookstore that doesn’t allow for ordering?! That IS surprising.
Posted by John | November 23, 2012, 8:27 amGreat giveaway John! I haven’t found a mascara I really really like yet so would love to try all of those, also my eyelash curler went to the bin a few days ago so this would be perfect 🙂
Posted by Ana | November 22, 2012, 4:59 pmGood luck and Happy Black Friday!

Posted by John | November 24, 2012, 4:59 pmHey John I have been recently been ‘converted’ to your blog, coming here by way of the EWG and then paula’s choice and then the Beauty Brains. Your blog is by far the best, and I really owe you a big thankyou for the way you have enlightened me and help to distiguish skincare advice from all the misinformation out there. I realise how this looks commenting on this post but I discovered future derm when the BB recently linked to it through a joint post. Please never give up on beauty writing!! I prompty proceeded to read everyone of you and Nikki’s posts. Also p.s, I have smeared coconut oil on my face today after hearing everyone else extolling its virtues, and is it possible for it to cause irritation? My skin unfortunately hasn’t recieved it very well.
Posted by Ginny | December 15, 2012, 12:29 amI’m so glad to have you! Thanks for the support. 🙂
Coconut oil can certainly be irritating your skin by perhaps clogging your pores or damaging the epidermal barrier, due to the components that are similar to sebum. Depending on what skin type and/or conditions you have, many non-fragrant plant oils (like coconut oil) may not be appropriate for you.
